Achieve CU Participates in the College and Career Fair with Horizon Science Academy

Guiding students at Horizon Science Academy’s 2024 College and Career Fair

Over 300 students from Horizon Science Academy in Lorain attended their annual College and Career Fair hosted by the school on March 21. Colleges from multiple states participated in the event, and students learned first-hand about career paths to pursue after graduation.

This marked Achieve Credit Union's first involvement with the College and Career Fair.

Our Human Resources team of Shannon Browne and Sara Dancy represented Achieve Credit Union. Their combined HR experience of over 30 years provided valuable career insight to the students who attended.

The staff distributed packets that included information on different career paths in the credit union, education assistance options, and Achieve Credit Union’s scholarship program. They also engaged with students individually about mapping out their career goals, and delighted students with giveaways from the famous Achieve Credit Union prize wheel.

“I think it’s very important to be out in the community to spread the word about what we can do for the students,” said Shannon Browne, Director of Human Resources at Achieve Credit Union.

Achieve Credit Union will be participating in Elyria High School’s College, Career, and Hiring Expo on May 9.
